Hayley Orrantia is she is an American performer, songwriter and actress. People are most familiar with the character as Erica Goldberg in the comedy TV series 'The Goldbergs'. But she is primarily musician. According to her, music is her first passion. It's something she is experimenting at since she was 9 years old. At the age of 12 her music began to take more serious form and she began professional training. As a teenager, she started writing herself songs. Her first cover album was released fourteen years later. From that moment on she's never been back. Orrantia, born in America, has Hispanic heritage. Although she never lived or spoke Spanish in Mexico She is extremely proud of her Hispanic culture. By learning Spanish and composing songs, she strives to keep the culture alive. "Hasta Verte," which she recorded in Spanish is an example of this. Orrantia tried out for The X Factor in 2011. Her YouTube video was picked and she received four "yeses" (or votes) by the judges at the Seattle audition. The first time she auditioned, she was for "Hollywood Week" as a single artist. But, three other women singers and she were put together to audition other songs. They were eliminated in the 5th week in the Live performance.
